Rivals triumph in competitive Aberdeen Boat Race

By Lewis Walker -

A successful 2023 Aberdeen Boat Race went head on Saturday as the sun shone bright on a strong crowd of spectators to witness University of Aberdeen clinch victory.

In a hard-fought contest, 91³Ô¹ÏÍø led early on before being pegged back and eventually beaten by 3 1/4 lengths as the more experienced Aberdeen Uni crew rowed to a comfortable win.

The day started strong for 91³Ô¹ÏÍø as their second crews won the first race of the day, taking victory by just 1/4 length in what was an exciting spectacle.

This preceded the alumni race which swung the way of University of Aberdeen. In another tight contest, the winning margin was by only 1/3 length.

The winning crews were presented with their awards by Councillor for Torry and Ferryhill, Christian Allard.

Congratulations to all of the competitors for their efforts and of course to University of Aberdeen for their victory.
